Taking a job

Before I had finished the b5media redesign Aaron was already asking me if I was interested in more work. Being a student, money disappears from my bank account relatively quickly, so how can I turn down some more money?

Jeremy offered me a part time contract to work with b5 for the next 6 months. They basically bought a “bank” of my available hours that are reserved for b5media for the next 6 months. I can still take client work and I can still pursue other projects, but man…a guaranteed monthly income is nice.

I guess what tends to happen with personal blogs when the blogger takes a job is that they get neglected. Not this one (I hope). I’m planning on spending more time writing articles and I intend to create some kick ass content.

  • So glad to have you Ben! Thanks for agreeing to work with us!

  • Jobs are unbelievably great. It’s only once you have been freelancing for a while that you like said knowing when and how much you are being paid is the best thing ever. There’s nothing worse than sweating on an invoice from a client. Well done on the new gig.

Also, I’ve just sent you an email.

  • […] My first and most obvious choices are, based on my opinion of their work as well as my personal experiences with them both are Chris Pearson or Ben Bleikamp. Unfortunately, both of them are tied up. Ben, notably, is all garbled up by b5media (damn them!). […]
